What's New...

In the past few months:

*All 3 babies got tubes in their ears due to repeat ear infections and all 3 of them failing their hearing tests because the fluid was so thick in their ears.

*Mason got his adenoid removed because it was obstructing his breathing through his nose.

*Evan got the cyst on his forehead removed.

*Madison now loves to walk around the room....but not by herself. she has to have a toy or chair or something that she holds onto and pushes all over. I still think she will be our first walker, she just has to gain the courage.

*Madison now waves and says, "HI!" in a high pitched squeal. She also shakes her head and says, "naw naw" (no, no) and "dot"! (don't), she used to say "ma ma" but very rarely does anymore. she always says "dada" however.

* Mason still doesn't really talk he does this whine that we call the "seal cry" cause he makes a noise like a seal when he's complaining about something. just recently when he's really mad about something he'll say,
"doe doe doe doe!" (whatever that means) over and over again.

*Evan still just says "dada" and he is a total mommy's boy (aka sissy.....did i really say that?).  He also thinks he's a big kid and LOVES to sit on the couch and watch movies.

*Mason has always been the most laid-back kid out of the three. He plays by himself and is rarely crying or upset. Don't let looks deceive you however...he may seem sweet but when he gets mad he hits or grabs at whoever is nearest. He's given me a bloody nose before when he grabbed at my nose.

Choo Choo Wagon and Pumpkin Patch

We finally got the coveted Choo Choo Wagon. Every triplet mom says the Choo Choo is a must have. I have to agree it is fabulous, the babies love it and never protest getting in it like they did the stroller. Not to mention it is adorable. Only down side is we get a lot more attention when we take it out in public....not like we weren't already getting enough attention as it is.
The reason why it was such a big deal that I got one is they used to make them several years ago and for whatever reason stopped producing them so the only way you could purchase one is used from other multiples parents via craigs list or ksl.com....because they were such a novelty people were selling them for $400 or more! That's just too much money in my opinion. Well Step2....the company who used to make them decided to put them out on the market again and only for $181....still a lot of money but way better than $400! Needless to say the morning it became available for purchase their website was a mad house, took forever for each page to load probably took 20 minutes overall just to get through. But luckily we got one and we are so excited to have it!
First big outing we took it on was to the pumpkin patch for our 3 year old's preschool field trip.

Trouble-makers

Pictures taken at 12 months and 13 months old. I have a bunch of little trouble makers. Evan and Maddy are partners in crime and usually the ones that get into the most trouble.

They LOVE to pound on the lid of the toilet. This is Maddy and Mason.

Maddy discovered how to flush the toilet at 13 months...she thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

They also love to open and close cupboard drawers and doors. Haven't had too much trouble with them wanting to play with what's inside yet. They're still just interested in the noise it makes.

Photobucket
Evan loves to blow raspberries on my stainless steel dishwasher. Needless to say...it's always filthy now.

Photobucket
They all love the door stoppers!

Photobucket
Maddy loves to hang from the high chairs....it drives me nuts. she's only fallen twice. She just holds on and leans as far back as she can.

Photobucket
They all love pulling cords out of the wall but Evan loves it the most. He thinks it's the best game in the world.

pictures at 12 months old

i'm a little behind on blogging. i finally had the time to upload all the pictures off my camera...haven't had time to do that for 3 months. so it took quite some time to go through and organize everything before i could blog. so here i go trying to make up for lost posts.

This is our life...

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GE6zQ8FWok

(click on the link above)

This video of a fellow triplet family truly describes our life. This is exactly how it is whenever we try to go anywhere. Costco, Walmart, the zoo, the park.....anywhere. I swear all we hear is "boy you've got your hands full".  We can't go anywhere without getting interrupted.

Here are a couple doosies that we've experienced:

*One time I was at the zoo all by myself with all four kids. My 3 year old was throwing a tantrum and I decided we just needed to get home. So I picked her up---she was screaming and kicking mind you so holding her was no easy task. While trying to hold her in my arms i was pushing the triplets in the stroller UP HILL and two ladies decided to stop me in the middle of the hill "wait wait wait...stop. can we see your babies? those are triplets?!" they just wanted to make small talk and i was at the end of my rope. Could they not see my kicking three year old in  my arms, my bright read face, hear me gasping for air while trying to push the stroller up hill?

*Shopping with my babies I was trying to pay at a register and my babies were fussy in the stroller because it was the end of the shopping trip. I turn to find some man I don't know picking up Mason who was in the very front of the stroller to help adjust him in his seat.  I know he was trying to do something nice but I was in shock that a total stranger would touch my child without even asking me.
