3D Ultrasound Pictures

Ultrasound pictures taken at 21 weeks 5 days pregnant.
I know, I know, it's taken us long enough to post these, but better late than never...right? Beware, some of these are creepy. 3D ultrasound pictures are hard to take. The baby has to remain perfectly still when they take the picture or else it turns out really creepy looking.

Baby C (girl) Her hands are floating up by her head and her knee is almost touching her nose...her legs are also crossed, if you can tell.

This picture is mis-labeled. It's actually Baby A (boy) and baby B (boy). Baby B is kicking his brother, Baby A, in the face.

Kinda creepy, I know. It's a profile shot of Baby A (Boy) with the umbilical cord smack dab in front of his eye...if you look closely underneath the cord you can see his nose, lips and chin.

Baby C (Girl) The umbilical cord is all over her face but if you look hard you can see her eyes and nose. Underneath the cord is her arm.

I Believe this one is Baby B (Boy). He is upside-down and his hand is covering his ear.

And The Results Are...

15 Weeks 5 Days Pregnant

All the babies cooperated today and we were able to determine their genders! Although "baby a" gave us a hard time at first and kept their legs crossed. In order this is how we found out and there was a few minutes laps in between finding out each one so the suspense was killing us!

The ultrasound tech was checking out baby a's head and heart and such and every now and then I got a brief shot of the gender but I didn't want to get ahead of myself and guess wrong so I waited....finally she was studying 'the part' and asked, "do you want to know the gender?" My Husband and I both answered at the same time, "YES!"

looks like baby a is a....

Then on to the next baby, check the head, the heart.....finally.....
"baby b is a......"

the suspense was then killing us it could either be all boys or one girl could toss it up...which would it be?!?!
Check the head, the heart,
"baby c is a......"

Just what my husband and I were hoping for! We can't believe it! We did get ultrasound pictures of each of the babies genders but they're really dark. I don't know why we keep getting really horrible ultrasound pictures. I'll post them anyway...I don't know how many of you will be able to understand them but it'll be fun to see just the same.

(baby a's profile-boy)

(baby a's gender-boy!)

(baby b's gender-boy! he was hiding his face and we couldn't get a good picture of it)

(baby c's gender-girl!)

(baby c's face, she's looking right at you!)

12 Week Appointment

12 Weeks 4 Days Pregnant

Today we finally met with Dr. E for our 12 week appointment. Let me say, he REALLY is all he's cracked up to be. We had to sit in the waiting room for an hour because there were two emergencies that needed to be taken care of. When it was finally our turn he followed us into the room and immediately apologized and got to work telling us a load of information. Our next appointment will be in three weeks (the 30th of this month) and he said they'll be able to determine the genders at that point! We're so excited! Then the appointment following that will be at twenty weeks, they'll do a full scan on all the babies check each of them from head to toe to make sure everything is ok. During that same appointment he has to check my cervix to see whether it's shortened or not....not so fun. His hands don't seem as big as Dr. P though, thank goodness. Dr. P had to examine me when I was pregnant with B, let me just say it was the worst exam I think I will ever experience. When Dr. E asked if I had met P and what I thought of him I answered with two words, "Big hands." That gave Dr. E a laugh, he said he's heard that before....SEE! I'm not the only one! He then told me that I need to expect that I will be in the hospital on bed rest around 24 weeks until I deliver. YUCK. I knew it would be somewhere around there, but hearing it more final like that makes me dread it more. He said there is also a concern with Preclampsia because each of the babies have their own placenta that puts me at higher risk for developing Preclampsia. He's hoping for the best but said he will keep a close eye on me. One good thing he told me is one of his patients that was pregnant with triplets he just delivered and she made it all the way to 36 weeks! That's my main big goal. We had B at 36 1/2 and got to take her home, she had no complications. I know it's a big hope to make it that far with triplets, but I'm hoping and praying just the same!
Because Dr. E followed us into the room and talked with us through my ultrasound exam I didn't really get to have a good look at the babies. :( I kept glancing up from time to time and the ultrasound tech gave us some pictures to take home. Two of the three pictures turned out great....last picture looks like a jumbled mess, but I'll post it just the same.

(baby A)

(baby B)
This is the jumbled one, I threw some arrows on there pointing out each baby.
(baby C is along the top)

9 Week Ultrasound Pictures

9 Weeks 3 Days Pregnant

For the remainder of my pregnancy each doctor's appointment I go to the babies will be referred to as "Baby A" "Baby B" "Baby C". Sorry these pictures are a week late...better late than never! The ultrasound tech was telling us something really neat. She said at 9 weeks the babies still don't have a placenta, they feed off of what's called a "yolk sac" until the placenta is developed. But she said amazingly enough she could see where the placentas were starting to form and some really great news, each of the babies have their own placentas, which is a really good thing...I won't get into the details, just know it's good. I was amazed how much they had grown in the one week that I hadn't seen them. They couldn't get all three of them on the same picture anymore!

Surprise, Surprise!

8 Weeks 3 Days Pregnant

Look closely at that ultrasound. If you're any good at reading those things you are seeing correctly, no joke. We're having TRIPLETS. Due date: Oct 17th. We had to switch to a high risk doctor, and we now have to go to the new IMC hospital for all our appts and to deliver. More details to come.
